About This Role
Design the human layer of Pawa-Med™ — clinical dashboards, patient-facing WhatsApp flows, and mobile interfaces that make complex AI feel simple, safe, and trustworthy. You'll design for users who may be first-time smartphone users in rural Kenya.
We are prioritizing builders who are deeply curious, mission-driven, and excited to grow fast while solving real African healthcare problems.
What You'll Do
- Design user interfaces for clinical AI dashboards and patient apps
- Create accessible, mobile-first designs for low-connectivity environments
- Conduct user research with healthcare providers and patients across Africa
- Build interactive prototypes and test with real clinical users
- Develop and maintain a healthcare-specific design system
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation
Requirements
- Proficient in Figma (components, auto-layout, prototyping)
- Strong portfolio showing mobile-first or product design work
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles
- Ability to translate complex workflows into simple, intuitive UIs
- User research skills and ability to synthesize feedback
Nice to Have
- Experience designing AI-native products or conversational UIs
- Exposure to healthcare or medical product design
- Knowledge of East African user behavior and mobile usage patterns
- Experience with design systems and component libraries
