A MISSION WORTH YOUR MIND

You have one life.
Make your work
part of something.

Healthcare should understand the person in front of it. Their language. Their context. Their reality.

We’re building AI that brings that belief to life. From clinical intelligence to connected devices, Pawanax is a place for people who want to make complex ideas useful to someone.

Bring the thing you can’t stop thinking about.
Let’s see what we can make of it.

Explore what we’re building
Engineers.Scientists.Designers.Clinicians.Storytellers.You?
HARD PROBLEMS. HUMAN STAKES.

Find work you
can feel.

The best ideas cross disciplines.
So do the people behind them.

Turn a better question into better care.

Bring scientific curiosity to the space between new discoveries and everyday healthcare.

A vision of what we can build together. Editorial scenes created with AI; meet our real team below.

BIG AMBITION. SMALL-TEAM ENERGY.

The spark of an idea.
The joy of making it real.

The “what if.” A first working prototype. A breakthrough you can’t wait to share. We’re early, and there’s room to bring your curiosity, your craft, and your care to the work.

Stay close to the human.

Start with the person a product is for. Understand their constraints before you reach for a solution.

Make. Test. Learn. Repeat.

Bring your experiments and your unfinished ideas. Use AI thoughtfully, check its work, and show what you learned.

Different minds. Better work.

Clinical expertise belongs next to engineering. Good questions can come from any discipline or career stage.

THERE ARE PEOPLE BEHIND THE POSSIBILITY

Good questions.
Different perspectives.
One shared direction.

Build at the intersection of engineering and science, alongside people thinking deeply about healthcare in Africa.

GOOD QUESTIONS DESERVE CLEAR ANSWERS

Before you
take the leap.

Ask us something else
Do I need a conventional background?

Show us how you think and what you have made. Research, open-source contributions, community work, and independent projects can all help tell your story. Check the requirements for the specific role you choose.

What kind of role is this?

Voluntary launch-phase role. Pawanax is not paying faculty or interns at this time, and we say so up front. What you can gain: public credit and a named profile, portfolio and teaching evidence, structured upskilling in AI work, references on request, and flexible hours where the role allows. No job, equity, or future employment is guaranteed.

Can I work remotely or apply from outside Nairobi?

Check the location on each role. Some opportunities may involve working in Nairobi or a hybrid arrangement. Ask us about location requirements before applying if you are unsure; remote eligibility is not assumed.

What do I need to apply?

Your name, email, a PDF CV up to 10 MB, and a short explanation of why the work matters to you. A portfolio, GitHub, or LinkedIn profile is welcome and optional. No account is required.

What happens after I apply?

You will receive an on-page confirmation and an application reference after a successful submission. The team reviews applications and contacts candidates if there is a fit. Timing depends on the role and application volume.

What if I do not see the right role?

Email careers@pawanalife.com with a short introduction, what you want to work on, and a link to something you have made. We welcome introductions across disciplines; an introduction does not guarantee an opening.
