About This Role
Build the infrastructure that makes Pawa-Med™ run reliably across Africa — from cloud-native deployments to edge-optimized models that run on low-resource hardware in rural clinics with unreliable internet.
We are prioritizing builders who are deeply curious, mission-driven, and excited to grow fast while solving real African healthcare problems.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI model deployment
- Optimize model inference for edge deployment and low-resource environments
- Implement model monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- Manage containerized deployments with Docker and Kubernetes
- Set up model versioning and experiment tracking (MLflow, W&B)
- Ensure system reliability and uptime across multi-region deployments
Requirements
- Proficiency in Linux/bash and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with Docker and basic container orchestration
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Basic knowledge of Python scripting and automation
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Kubernetes or similar orchestration platforms
- Familiarity with ML model optimization (ONNX, TensorRT, quantization)
- Knowledge of edge AI deployment patterns
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi)
